Aqueous Ammonium Hydroxide can be used to adjust the pH of a solution. Commercially Ammonia is available at 30 wt% with the remainder water (30% NH3). You would like to convert this commercial Ammonia to household ammonia which is available at 10 wt%. a) What are the mass and mole fractions of the respective components in NH3? b) Assuming you have 1 L of the commercially available Ammonia, how much water would need to be added to dilute the solution to the household dilution of ammonia? c) What is the molarity of the new solution compared to the molarity of the initial solution?
