Freon 11, which has a chemical formula CCl3F has a normal boiling point of 23.8C. The specific heat of liquid and gaseous freon are 0.87 J/g K and 0.59 J/g K, respectively. The vaporizaation for the compound is 24.75 kJ/mol. Calculate the heat required to convert 50.0 g of freon 11 from liquid at -50 C to a gas at 50 C.
