The thermodynamic properties for a reaction are related by the equation that defines the standard free energy, Delta G^\circ, in kJ/mol: Delta G^\circ=\Delta H^\circ-T \Delta S^\circ where Delta H^\circ is the standard enthalpy change in kJ/mol and Delta S^\circ is the standard entropy change in J/mol\cdot K. A good approximation of the free energy change at other temperatures, Delta G_T, can also utilize this equation by assuming enthalpy (Delta H^\circ) and entropy (Delta S^\circ) change little with temperature. Part A For the reaction of oxygen and nitrogen to form nitric oxide, consider the following thermodynamic data: Delta H_ rxn}^{\circ} 180.5 ~{kJ/mol} \Delta S_ rxn}^{\circ} 24.8 ~{J/(mol\cdot K)} Calculate the temperature above which this reaction is spontaneous.
