Overview

The Project Management Institute (PMI®) identifies four distinct tenets of personal ethical behavior for conducting project management. They are designed to help project professionals enhance personal professional competence by increasing and applying knowledge, improving project management services, and promoting interaction among team members and other stakeholders in a professional and cooperative manner by respecting personal and cultural differences. The principles in this code address personal integrity and professionalism, including adherence to legal requirements, ethical standards, and social norms. Adhering to these principles in project work is crucial to the successful pursuit of CAPM® certification and a career in project management.
