Provide some diagnostically useful differences you would expect in the IR spectra between starting materials and product for the reaction you carried out (e.g. if I was asked this regarding the oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone, I would say the OH stretch at about 3400cm-1 will disappear and a carbonyl stretch will appear at 1715cm-1). A couple of examples will be sufficient.
