One thousand [kg-mole/hr] of an equimolar mixture of propane(1)/n-butane(2) is burned in 60% excess air, where 45 % of propane(1) produces CO and the rest CO2 , and all the n-butane goes to complete combustion.

For the combustion process:

1. Sketch a diagram. Label streams showing components, flow rates, and composition.

2. Write the chemical reactions that take place.

3. Find the total amount of gas produced (dry basis).

4. Determine the composition of the flue gas (ORSAT analysis).

5. Find the total amount of water produced.
