Whether you are delivering a product or a service, there is more than one angle to the operations process. Imagine you are once again an operations manager at that donut shop discussed earlier in the course; you might need to use Six Sigma, a methodology that uses data and math, to identify that an uncalibrated oven is causing five out of 100 donuts to burn during the baking process. Or you might use Agile, a methodology that focuses on short flexible work cycles, to accelerate the initial release and future iterations of an ordering app for your donut shop. Using these methods in your day-to-day operations can help your donut shop become more efficient, responsive, and consistent.
