Task Description
Australia's healthcare system is shaped by the principle of value-based healthcare.
Accordingly, this assessment aims for you to examine the value in use of virtual care in health/social care organisations. Your examination should avail credible evidence, for example, literatures about economic evaluations, behavioural economics analysis and patient accounts of virtual care. Based on the examination, you are to recommend whether resources should be prioritised for virtual care to address the interest of the health/social care system and patients/consumers/community.
The targeted audience in this presentation is senior managers and clinicians in health/social care organisations.
The presentation must have the following sections:
Section 1
Introduction
Outline the purpose and agenda of the presentation. Additionally, describe the significance of virtual care for the community your health organisation/relevant health/social care system is catering to. This includes identifying different types of virtual care offered to major patient cohorts in your community. Outline how delivering virtual care is aligned to the strategic direction of your health organisation or the relevant health/social care system.

This includes, defining EE and clarifying how application of EE, through aspects, for example, method of EE, choice of comparator and choice of perspective could help to assess value in delivery of virtual care. You are to explain maximum of three aspects of EE and provide an evidence-based discussion to address the interest of the health/social care system and patients.
Behavioural Economics (BE) and Virtual Care
Explain the concept of BE and its application for value proposition in virtual care. This includes defining BE and clarifying how application of BE, through aspects, for example, nudging that manages bounded rationality and heuristics could help to assess/promote value in delivery of virtual care. You are to explain maximum of one aspect of BE to provide an evidence-based discussion to address the interest of the health/social care system and patients. Creating a narrated PowerPoint presentation and exporting it as a video.
PowerPoint files that contain narrated slides tend to be very large files and staff often have difficulty playing the narrated slides due to the multitude of different sound recording and encoding methods used by different computer systems. This is why we recommend exporting your PowerPoint presentation as a video file instead.
All University of Tasmania students have access to Microsoft 365. The licence allows you to download and install the latest version of all the Office 365 applications, including PowerPoint. To your computer. This guide assumes that are using the installed version of PowerPoint and not PowerPoint for the web via web-browser. Note that currently, it is not possible to directly record a narrated presentation using PowerPoint for the web.
Overview
Create your slides using the Microsoft PowerPoint desktop application.
Record the narration:
Open the ‘Record' ribbon and chose the "Record slide show from the beginning" option.
Click the "From beginning" button, and wait for the count down, then record. Navigate through the slides as you record.
You can re-record individual slides using the "re-take recording" for the "current slide".
Annotations and pointers can also be captured.
Export the video:
Click the export button at the top of the recording view
Choose the ‘Customise Export' option to set the quality and size of the file. The default ".mp4" format is the preferred format for video assignments.
Set the export options, we recommend ‘standard' quality is suitable for most presentations.
Make sure the ‘Use Recorded Timings and Narrations' option is set (this is the default).
Click the "Create Video" button to export the video.
It usually takes about the same amount of time to create the video file as it does to play the presentation, but this varies depending upon the processing capacity of your computer, the complexity of the graphics in your presentation, and the amount of narration.
