Choose two competing companies, one of which is successful in their line of business and one who has not been successful in recent years. Recognize the role technology played in both companies. Comparison should thoroughly analyze the entire role that technology has played. This must address the following points for both companies:

What part of business do you consider to be main technology? (for instance in computer company it may actually be software bundled with computer that provides competitive edge or in pizza business it may actually be a novel method of delivery which is distinguishing innovation which establishes a competitive edge).

What kind of strategy did each company use? Did they take the offensive role or defensive role? How did their strategy influence the outcome of their success? Was there the influence on whole industry as a whole?

Report on whether each company carried out internal innovation and if so, how was this accomplished? If they did not use internal innovation - explain their methodology. Determine the management's role in fostering incorporation of innovation? At last, you are expected to give the analysis of both strategies, suggestions and conclusion.
