Make a reflection on the above topic "live in their world" an intervention to help people with dementia and/or their care partners. You may develop some of your own unique ideas or you may simply explain how your research is currently being used. Creativity and effort are rewarded!

Each individual paper will consist of a review of the literature pertaining to your specific topic. (All research will be cited) Your paper can either demonstrate how these strategies, interventions, or resources help your target population or you can use the review of the literature as a foundation for developing your own ideas about helpful strategies. Either way, your paper must contain only your own original work.

Your individual paper will be no longer than 6 pages and no shorter than 5. Illustrations may be used to add to the creativity and understanding of the topic but will not be included in the five-page minimum.

Individual Paper Marking Scheme:

Content Mark: The topic is thoroughly and accurately covered, including a review of the literature. It presents good ideas about the topic and demonstrates good thought and attention to detail. Your paper provides well-detailed interventions or ways to help; according to the topic you have been assigned. Your ideas demonstrate creativity and an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and/or their family. Your paper will stick to the assigned topic. Your paper sets out to do what it says it will do. (For example, My paper will discuss the impact of caring on the primary family caregiver...or... This paper will explore the advantages of music therapy for those with dementia.)

Presentation Mark: The grammar, sentence structure, and spelling are accurate and the paper flows smoothly form one paragraph to another. It will be neat, with a cover page and citations, etc. Length is between 5 to 6 pages, using an easily read 12 pt font. Any illustrations should add to the creativity or understanding of the topic.
