As a student endeavoring to join the professional world, I feel it is important to be equipped with legal knowledge. This is my first law course and as such, the course has been a great introduction to the legal world. From the course material, I feel better prepared to manage legal activity.

The readings and cases have allowed me to become more confident with business law. As the readings outlined the procedures of litigations and governing bodies, I am better familiarized with the legal environment. For example, I am now aware that engaging in legal action is a costly decision and should be left as a last resort. Other means of resolving conflicts, such as negotiations, should be relied on.

The cases prompted me to extend my learning from the textbook to real-world settings, applying legal terminology and concepts to scenarios. In fact, I find the cases the most rewarding and useful portion of the course. The cases helped link the theory behind the textbook to the world outside the classroom. Because of this, I am more motivated to learn the subject. In addition, the case quizzes strengthened my understanding of business law and its applications.

All-in all, the course material has created a strong foundation for my legal knowledge. By developing my confidence in confronting legal issues, the course material has enabled me to become a more comprehensive professional student.
