Utilizing a macrosociological perspective, explain how social structure is coercive of group behavior. In other words, how does social structure control us to such a degree that we do not even think about our actions? We merely act robotically, mindlessly, or habitually. Give two examples in one paragraph. Helpful hint: A macrosociological example would most likely discuss how social institutions (i.e. social institutions of education, economy, religion, etc.) control the masses without us even realizing we are being controlled.
