You are to prepare a buffer at a pH of 9.00 using 0.50 mol/liter HCN and 0.36 mol/liter NaCN. If you begin with 250.0mL of 0.36 mol/liter NaCN, how many liters of the HCN solution must be added to the NaCN to prepare the buffer?
Now add 1.60grams of NaOH (solid) to the buffer. What will be the new pH?
