Very technical I know that lithium in lithium ion batteries will form dendrites by clustering together. This ultimately causes cells to short out when the dendrites grow from cell plate to cell plate. Thus the question is Explain how do lithium ions a +1 charge wants to clump? They must repel each other? Explain what then is the mechanism by which this occurs on a graphene sheet?
