A reaction involving 93 mg of aniline, 122 mg of p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 2 ml of absolute alcohol and a stir bar are placed in a 150X18 mm test tube. One drop of 1N HCl is added to the stirred solution which is heated in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes. on cooling a precipitate is deposited which is collected and recrystallized in absolute alcohol.
