Assuming that a cell is capable of glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation, but is incapable of carrying out the TCA cycle, what would the energy yield (# of ATP molecules) be for the metabolism of one glucose? How much longer would it take this cell to produce the same amount of ATP as a normal cell?
