The bacteria Azotobacter chroococcum grows aerobically and plays an important role in the soil nitrogen cycle. Azo can bind atmospheric nitrogen which is inaccessible to plants then release ammonia ions into the soil that plants can absorb. This bacteria is approximately 7% nitrogen once dried with a density of 0.84 g/mL. What volume of air at 1 atm and 30 degree Celciuswould supply enough nitrogen to a 1.0 L bacteria culture?
