An unknown solution of alkaline earth metal nitrates gave a white precipitate when an ammonium sulfate solution was added. After the precipitate was removed by centrifuging, a white precipitate formed when ammonium oxalate was added to the remaining supernatant liquid. Identify the cations that were present and write blanced chemical equations for the reactions.
