A free particle of mass m in a one-dimensional box with infinite walls at x=0 and x=L, given by the potential function:

V(x)= 0 for x =0 < x < L and V(x) =∞ for x<0and x>L

The wavefunction is:

wavefunctionn(x)= Nsin(nπx/L) for x =0<x<L and wavefunctionn(x)= 0 for x<0 and x>L

Question:If the particle is an electron and the length of the box is 100pm, calculate the energies of the particle for n=1,2, and 3.
