Carbonic anhydrase is the enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of CO2 to HCO3. Carbonic anhydrase exhibits a K(m) value of 26 mM and a k(cat) value of 400,000 s^-1 for the substrate HCO3.

Part A. What is the V(max) for the reaction when the carbonic anhydrase concentration is 0.6 mg/mL?

Part B. A competitive inhibitor of carbonic anhydrase has a K(i) of 0.04 M. What is the V(max) for this reaction of 0.6 mg/mL in the presence of 4.20 mM inhibitor.
