Since there has been a decline in the European workforce due to the demographic developments, there is a great need for the governments to come up with plans to handle this   impending challenge and to change their policies. Based on a research study that was conducted from September 2009 through May 2010, Formosa’s (2012) this article assessed the policies and procedures guiding late-life education in Malta, along with the local overabundance of learning opportunities for older adults that wanted to pursue their education, and the involvement rates. The Maltese government is dedicated to be in great support of older adults beginning at the age of 60 in late-life education strategies and programs. Through the dedication from the government local studies have revealed a current increase in the inclusive involvement of older adults in an array areas of learning such as formal, non-formal and informal.
