You are the Chief Civil Engineer for the Enhanced Protein Production Plant on the planet Zog where the gravitational constant is 15 ft/s2. A protein storage tank has developed a structural problem and must be drained. There is a 6 inch diameter orifice near the bottom of the tank that can be opened, which will allow a free discharge (Torocelli experiment) of the liquid protein from the tank. You estimate that the coefficient of discharge (CD) for this orifice is 0.5. The tank is a truncated cone whose diameter is 15 ft at the centerline of the orifice and 5 ft at the top of the tank which is 10ft above the orifice and the tank is completely full . Estimate the time, in minutes, required to drain the tank to the level of the orifice.
