A flat field, with a standard surface of water, which needs to get to 50,000 people by means of a water treatment facility that you have to design.

The sedimentation basin & flocculation/coagulation basin have already been designed.

What is left to do are the following:

1) Lime-soda softening system
2) Granular media filtration system
3) Disinfection system
4) Residual treatment & handling system

o What you need for this assignment is for you to write, via Microsoft Word, the chronological steps that need to be taken in order to design the four systems listed above.

o You should include clear explanations of each step, with equations, calculations, dimensions, and examples given when necessary.

o It is not necessary for you to do a professionally drawn water treatment plant, which has been meticulously & exhaustively designed on AutoCAD.

o However, you don't want you to include any diagrams of what you have written that you think would be helpful in explaining to me the design. Basically, anything you could include that would be helpful in my understanding what's happening in the design process is desired.

o An example of the step-by-step process that was done for the flocculation/coagulation basin.
