Energy Efficiency Comprehension
Background information
The assessment of the Energy Analysis Techniques module consists of two items of individual student work:
Assignment A: Energy Efficiency Comprehension
Assignment B: The preparation of technical report on the opportunities for implementing energy saving measures as a result of your analysis of energy related time series data for a minimum of one building.
Assignment A:
You are required to read the course material, work through the examples, and complete three assessments on Blackboard to demonstrate your understanding of energy efficiency and energy management issues.
These will take the form of:
1. A 40 question multiple choice/multiple answer test, which is on a timer and must be completed fairly rapidly (50 minutes). Questions do not require calculations or essays, and all are multiple choice / multiple answer / missing word questions.
This test contributes a maximum of 370 points towards the part A total.
2. A 15 question photo comprehension test, which is on a timer and must be completed fairly rapidly (10 minutes).
This test contributes a maximum of 180 points towards the part A total.
3. A 10 question test, which requires some calculation, for which more time is given (90 minutes). Numerical answers will be required.
This test contributes a maximum of 180 points towards the part A total.
All tests are open-book, so you can refer to your notes, and can be completed at any time during the course, up to the deadline published on Blackboard, although completing them early on will assist in your understanding of the module. Feedback will be given at the end of the test and you will receive your mark instantly.
