(a) Identify the type of input and the basic components that is required for an oscillator.

(b) Determine the attenuation of the feedback oscillator circuit to sustain the oscillation if the voltage gain of the amplifier portion of an oscillator is 75. Generally, describe the change required in the oscillator in order for oscillation to begin when the power is initially turned on.

(c) Design and draw a Wien Bridge oscillator that oscillate at fo = 35kHz. Choose appropriate components values.

(d) An oscillator uses L1 = 2 mH and L2= 1.5 mH. Identify the type of an oscillator and justify the range of capacitance so that the frequency of oscillation can be varied between 1000 kHz to 2000 kHz.

(e) For the oscillator in Figure (a) , assume rπ →∞ and let gm = 30 mA/V.

(i) Derive the expression for the frequency of oscillation.

(ii) Show that the condition for oscillation is given by gmR = L1/L2. Design the circuit that oscillate at fo = 750 kHz.
