There are two separate companies who are neighbors. Company 1 sells products and company 2 manufacturers the products that Company 1 sells to the market. Both are in the same industry. Both Company’s office hours are Monday through Friday. With no documentation, Company 1 had send an employee to Company 2 to work there as Company 2’s employee.

This employee is paid salary. This employee is still under the payroll of Company 1. This employee has been coming in on weekends to work for Company 2. However due to certain circumstances, this employee was fired from Company 2.

1: Can Company 2 fire this employee when this employee is not under their payroll?

2: Does Company 1 pay for this employee’s overtime, coming in on the weekends, when this employee is on salary?
