Learning Activity #1: Free Ethics.

In order to reduce student costs, UMUC has decided to eliminate expensive textbooks in courses and replace those books with free web readings. Some of the links guide students to academic journals, while other links access readings on commercial websites where a variety of goods and services are advertised. Do you feel that it is unethical to require students to read materials on commercial websites and thus subject students to marketing messages?
