Electrochemical cell potentials can be used to determine equilibrium constants that would be otherwise difficult to determine because concetnrations are small. Calculate the value of Ksp at 298 K for CdS from the following data.

CdS(s) + 2e- ---> Cd(s) + S^2-(aq) E^o=-1.21 V

Cd^2+(aq) + 2e- ---> Cd(s) E^o=-0.40 V

a. 2x10^-14

b. 3x10^-55
