A rigid container is known to contain 2.00 kg of H2O and to be 750 L in volume. The container is initially in equilibrium at 85 kPa. Heat is added by an electrical heater until the pressure is raised to 1100 kPa. During the heating process 200 kJ is lost from the tank to the environment and a torque of 30 N.m is applied to a stirring paddle for 800 revolutions. Determine:

i) The initial and final temperatures.

ii) How much energy does the electrical heater and stirring paddle deposit?

iii) Plot the process on P-ν (pressure-specific volume) and T-ν (Temperature-specific volume) diagrams.
