Assignment : Basic R Programming


1) Create an R function called vec.contains.item which will take in a vector and an item will return TRUE if a given item is inside a vector and FALSE otherwise.

2) Create an R function called count.item which, given a vector and an integer, will return how many times the integer occurs inside the vector.

3) Create an R function called consec.sums which, given a vector of integers and a number n, will generate the sums of consecutive groups of n numbers and return the resulting sums in a new vector. If the initial vector’s length is not an exact multiple of n, use as many as remain in
computing the last sum.

(**Note: You may use the built-in sum function as a building block if you like)
