This is a written assignment so please answer in a paragraph format for each part and explain it clearly how this works. Here are the three covalent compounds: PH2- , SeF4 and NO3- .there are two parts of this assignment. Part one involve drawing lewis structures for the molecules assigned and part 2 involve describing the VSEPR geometery of those structures.Rather than just drawing the answers, please describe how you approached and solved the structures and geometry for each.Â
PART 1:
(A): Draw the Lewis structure for each including formal charges and describe in paragraph format how you went about solving the problem and making sure the answer was correct.
(B): one of the three structures will have a resonanace structure.Write how you identified the correct compound out of the three and how you identified how many resonance structures there were total.Â
PART 2:
Draw the correct VSPER geometry of each molecule, bond angles and name of the resulting geometry. In the case where you have a resonance structure, you should have an answer for each reonance structure.
NOTE: please explain clearly how this works.I am putting up more points for this
