Commercial AM broadcast stations operate between 540KHz to 1600KHz, with a transmission bndwidth limited to 10KHz.

a) Draw a block diagram for an AM heterodyne receiver.

b) If the IF is 455KHz. determine the range of turning that must be provided in the local oscillator when the local oscillator frequency fLo is higher than the carrier frequency fc (super-heterodyning).
