The state of Florida doesn't do enough to prevent drivers from texting because it's a secondary offense. A ticket of $30 fine wouldn't hurt the driver, our state needs to enforce more safe driving.

The state of Florida does enough to prevent distracted driving because it's a secondary offense and if your are caught the second time points will reduced from your license.

Every day on the roads drivers are losing control on how to drive appropriately. Many people think that texting while driving will not cause an injury or death because they think they can multitask and won't never happen to them. This days twenty one percent of the teens are getting involved in an accident because they are engulfed with their conversation on their phones and top of that ninety four percent acknowledge that its danger but still won't quit. The state of Florida doesn't do enough to prevent distracted driving because it's a secondary offense. A ticket of thirty dollars won't hurt a driver plus to that the driver must be caught doing something illegal like not making a stop, nonstop on a red light, or making a wrong direction. Like one fourth of the population will be doing illegal stuff while texting. The state of Florida needs to take this seriously because its takes five second to answer a text and it takes those second to cause an accident. Our state needs to raise the ticket price and make texting illegal so every drivers takes the wheel seriously.
