Question I: In the lecture, you engaged in a simulation of a four -year old classroom and may have done some observations on your own in the real world of ECE. In your initial post, address the following:

1. State some of the best practices that you observed in the simulation and/or your real-world observation.

2. Did you observe record keeping, ethics in ECE, exceptional children, and/or standard compliance (or non-compliance)?

3. Summarize how you will employ these best practices in your own future teaching.

4. Describe any record keeping, examples of ethical principles (or ethical dilemmas) in ECE, exceptional children, and/or compliance with state or federal standards (or even non-compliance) that you observed.

Question II: In our lesso, we examined professionalism in the ECE workplace. We reviewed how there are many different levels of professionalism and areas in which to address them.

In this discussion, reflect and consider your experiences in ECE, be it in your observation placement for this course, or perhaps a current or past position you have had in ECE. Recall an incident or encounter in the ECE setting that involved you. In your initial post, share how you reacted in this instance. Also in your initial post, consider what you have learned about professionalism in the ECE workplace and reflect on what you would have (or could have) done differently.

Question III: Congratulations on making it to the end of the course! You have accomplished so much and had the opportunity to grow through reviewing so many different theories and best practices in early childhood. Take the opportunity to reflect on your biggest "takeaways" from the course. In your initial post, address the following:

1. Discuss what activities challenged you as a current student and a future educator.

2. Explain how you capitalized on your prior knowledge to scaffold your new knowledge in your field.
