Question: Research has shown that more nationwide voters are becoming more accepting of recreational marijuana becoming legal. Across the nation, 21 states have implemented some form of legalization for medical marijuana. Studies have shown that states have increased their tax revenue by 10s to 100s of millions of dollars by implementing this type of legislation. Your assignment is to provide research and propose legislation for legalizing medical marijuana.

a. Discuss the rationale for both (a) implementing and (b) not implementing a recreational marijuana policy for the state of Louisiana.

b. Based on the discussion from the previous question, construct the tenets of a recreational marijuana policy. Incorporate the rationale for why the policy should be implemented while addressing some issues that may arise from legalizing recreational marijuana.

c. Research the stakeholders associated with marijuana legalization in the state of Louisiana. Conduct a stakeholder analysis of key players in this arena. Assess and discuss their positions and power on the policy.

d. Based on your research from the previous question, discuss the strategies needed to improve the feasibility of your policy. This discussion should include political strategies for its implementation, (the type of) economic analysis to assess feasibility, and resources needed to ensure financial sustainability.

e. Discuss the likely impacts of implementing this policy. This discussion should include (but is not limited to) topics such as Louisiana's economy, healthcare system, education system, crime and corrections, and overall citizens' well-being.
