Select a listed company in Sri Lanka of your preferred industry.

Choose at least 4 latest reporting years.

Study the Statement of Profit or loss and other comprehensive income, Statement of financial position, statement of cash flows along with the related notes of the chosen years.

Observe the behavior of key line items of the Statement of profit or loss, Statement of financial position and Cash flow statement during the span of selected years using key financial ratios.

Discuss the financial performance of the company analyzing the results reflected by the afore- mentioned financial statements.

Next, select at least two competitors of the same industry with comparable reporting years.

Compare and discuss the financial performance of your first company with the financial performance the two competitors by analyzing the financial statements.

All the three organizations should be from the same industry and should all be public quoted organizations.
