Trenerry and Paradies (2012) discuss some different strategies to address and incorporate diversity into the workplace. One strategy they discuss is diversity training, which according to the authors is ineffective for most organizations in the long run. Participants may report usefulness and positive feelings about the training, but the level of effectiveness on the organization itself has not been proven. If organizational policies and structures do not change accordingly, there is no benefit to the diversity training for the organization (Trenerry & Paradies, 2012).
