IDENTIFY DESIGNERS AND ARTISTS ASSOCIATED WITH ONE SPECIFIC MOVEMENT/PHILOSOPHY AND DISCUSS THEIR WORK IN THE LIGHT OF THIS IDEOLOGY.

Your study needs to focus on the following points:

- one design movement/philosophy
- place the movement/philosophy within a political, social, and historical context
- emphasize how this movement differs from those movements that preceded and followed it
- give concrete examples of their ideas and work
- illustrate some of the work
- discuss any lasting influence the movement/philosophy has had.

Expectations for a Good Research Paper:

a) your research paper might have different subdivisions in the same component; therefore you might want to consider sub-headings for clearer thought

b) a good research paper must address the title question in its entirety

c) it should consist of different paragraphs comprising an introduction, a body and a conclusion

d) the conclusion is not a repetition of ideas that you have already presented in the research paper, but should tie all the arguments brought forward in your other paragraphs

e) in our case of History and Appreciation of Graphic Design, you will be discussing a visual language. Therefore, it is imperative that in your research paper you include/attach and make references to various examples of artworks that you have studied in the main textbook

f) the paper must have footnotes or endnotes as well as a bibliography

g) your paper is expected to be within the range of 1,500 - 2,500 words.
