ASSESSMENT FINAL PLACEMENT

1) Societal, legal, policy, and management context of placement

a) Provide an overview of the service in which you are undertaking placement, paying regard to the socio-historic influences on policy, care provision & management of services for the service user group of your choice.

b) Demonstrate the role (impact) of how polices influenced practice.

Reference list must be included.

2a) Reflection on practice learning - word count for each reflection 500 word. Reference list for the reflections must include academic text, national policy, legislation and 3 primary research articles (30%)

  • Reflect on the complexity involved in engaging in non-discriminatory, cultural and behavioural sensitive practice.
  • Discus the complexities involved in respecting service users will & preference, up holding their rights, dignity and autonomy balanced against your professional duty of care and acting in their best interest.
  • Evaluate a time when you used advocacy in your practice (D5 pr. 15). Reflect on the role and function of team (service user, family members, agency care team, and multi-disciplinary & interagency teams) when working in social care.

2b) Assignment - Intervention write up of 1,500 words

  • Document an intervention you carried out with a service user. Situate the intervention within an identified need within the service user care plan. Explore how the service user's life complexity informs the intervention and evaluate its benefit for the service user. Demonstrate how consent was attained.
  • Pay attention to the theory and care skills involved at the intervention stage of care planning.
  • Consider risk and multidisciplinary / agency nature of care provision.

3) Post-placement Assessment - 4 x 500 words each

Reference list for each report must include academic text, national policy, legislation and 3 primary research articles

  • Outline the steps you would take if a whistleblowing situation arose.
  • Describe the impact of legislation including data protection and freedom of information on the practice of social care.
  • Describe a (hypothetical) situation illustrating the resources conflicts related to care provision.
  • Reflection on preparation for and performance at tripartite meeting, including a development plan for interviews.

Instructions: Need (2000 words report + PPT). The word count is 2,000. I think is a mistake from the tutor end. If u open the note that says LLL profiences template. The layout is there. For example if it say D which stands for Domain in the template. There are Five Domains, under each domains u have profencies. . There is communication, health and safety and so on. So it say D1. Pr 4. U will look at domain1 and question 4 under that domain. The domain is up to 5.so under each domain has profencies which is the same as question. So you use the profencies to ask the brief. The name Coru Alignment is a name given to professionals that set out the question. The Coru is not attached to the question is just a symbol. The one that is important is the domain which is in the LLL proficiencies temate. There are five Domains and under domains are profencies. U will have to link the provinces to the question on the brief to answer the question.

Student has demonstrated a very good ability to identify need, plan, implement and evaluate an intervention through using a range of knowledge, understanding of client/development influence of culture and background. Student purposefully acquires knowledge from a variety of sources to determine the clients needs and provide an intervention. The final decision regarding pass/fail rests with the Institute and is based on evidence collected through all the other elements of the course as well as reference to standards required by the Institute. Consultation with the External Examiner may also be deemed appropriate.

If a student fails the placement module, or fails to complete a supervised professional practice, he/she will be offered the opportunity to repeat a placement with the same or some other organisation in order to proceed to the next stage of the programme, if this is deemed appropriate. Students will only be allowed the opportunity to repeat a failed placement once. Only one repeat is permitted over the duration of the degree programme.
