Assignment:

The Supreme Court's 1908 ruling in Muller vs. Oregon was partially based upon the widely-held view that women's bodies are fundamentally different from men's bodies and that those differences must be acknowledged and accommodated in an effort to avoid harming women's reproductive potential.

Contemporary conversations about the physiological differences between men's and women's bodies are more complicated. Political, economic, and legal efforts to enforce and support equality in the United States do not allow much space to discuss these differences. Hence why topics such as paid period days are often met with extreme resistance - here is one recent headline as an example (Links to an external site.).

Assignment:

In a minimum of one (1) well-developed paragraph, address the following reflection question(s):

Should there be different work expectations for men and women based on the physiological differences between men's and women's bodies? Why or why not?
