A new avant garde mathematics building has a highly polished outer surface in the shape of a huge hemisphere of radius 40 m. The Head of Department, Prof. Old fart, has his student, Vita Youngblood, hauled to the summit (to be photographed for publicity purposes) but a small gust of wind causes Vita to begin to slide down. Old fart's displeasure is increased when Vita lands on (and severely damages) his car which is parked nearby.

How far from the outer edge of the building did Old fart park his car? Did he get what he deserved? (Happily, Vita escaped injury and found a new supervisor.)
