The questions below are review questions for my exam which means I want the answers to be accurate with correct and long explanations as it is my second to last exam of the semester which is why I want to study these.

1. At the end of each chapter in America: A Narrative History is a series of key terms, identifying important people, ideas, events, laws, and other items covered in the chapter.
a) Take one and identify the three terms you believe are the most important to understanding the chapter.
b) Explain why those terms are critical to the chapter's theme and narrative.
2. Read H. Manly, Publisher, "from The South Vindicated from the Treason and Fanaticism of the Northern Abolitionists (1836)" in For the Record, pg. 297-302.
a) Why does Manly argue that the slave of the South was better off than the laborer of the North?
b) Do you find that argument convincing, why or why not?
3. Look at the development of market society in the United States as described in the textbooks and packets.
a) What do you think is the most significant cultural change that came from the Market Revolution, and
b) how did the Market Revolution cause it?
4. a) Describe one of the two major political parties in the Jacksonian period, identifying specific leaders and policies that illustrate their visions for the country, that better exemplifies the principles of the American Revolution.
