Could mud-wrestling be the cause of a rash contracted by University of Washington students in the spring of 1992? Two physicians at the University of Washington health center wondered this when one male and six female students complained of rashes after participating in a mud-wrestling event. Questionnaires were sent to students in the residence halls that participated in the event. The questionnaire asked about the appearance of a rash and about attendance at the mud-wrestling event. The results, by gender, are summarized in the following table.
Let x be the indicator variable .
We wish to fit a logistic regression model log = β0 + β1x
where p is the binomial probability of developing a rash and log is the natural logarithm. The estimate b1 of 1 based on the data in our table is
A. -1.557.B. -1.152.C. 0.405.

Assume the researcher's rats can be considered an SRS from the population of all laboratory rats. The mean Math SAT score of these students is found to be 560, 80 points higher than the national average.
A study of cardiovascular risk factors compared heavy smokers, light smokers, and nonsmokers. Both men and women were included in the study so that the two factors are smoking level and gender.
Compute the variance and standard deviation
There were 25 subjects included in each of the combinations of gender and smoking status. One of the variables measured was the heart rate after six minutes of exercise. A two-way ANOVA is performed with the resulting ANOVA table given below
Do students tend to improve their SAT Mathematics (SAT-M) score the second time they take the test? A random sample of four students who took the test twice received the following scores

Let p represent the proportion of registered voters in the state that would vote for the Republican candidate. The standard error for the proportion of those who phoned in who answered "yes" is
This model is fit to the data using the method of least squares using statistical software, and the following ANOVA table is obtained
Suppose we drew a histogram of these 18 death rates using class intervals 1 — 1.9, 2 — 2.9, 3 — 3.9, 4 — 4.9 and 5 — 5.9. Using the histogram, we would
