Question: Imagine you are a criminal justice or security professional working for a mid-sized city agency. Your supervisor has asked you to conduct an evaluation of alternatives of a program that falls under your area of responsibility. Funding for the upcoming year is limited, and leadership needs to know which programs are worth expanding, which should be maintained, and which may require significant improvement before they commit to using more resources. Your task is to select a program within the criminal justice or security field that you believe is important enough to evaluate for this potential funding. This might be a community policing initiative, a juvenile diversion program, a prison reentry service, a cybersecurity training effort, or another program relevant to your role. Once you select the program, you will provide your supervisor with preliminary research on the program's purpose, goals, operations, and strategies.
