Undertake research to gather information required to prepare a business plan. Research could include locating, reading, interpreting or analysing existing organisational information or conducting research on internal or external market or business environments. Based on your research, prepare necessary information, processes, procedures and documentation required to prepare and implement the business plan Tasks you might complete when researching and planning could include the following. Note: Not all tasks listed may be relevant to your business and selected business plan topic. Analyse and review of pre-existing strategic, business and operational plans. Analyse current business vision, mission, values and objectives and how it informs development of the plan. Research or review market requirements, profile customer needs and pricing structures including evaluating statistical information. Identify any legal requirements impacting the plan and determine how the business, work area or staff can comply with them. Identify existing resource requirements and any gaps, and research options to fulfill requirements. Identify existing performance objectives and measures and any gaps, and develop or modify objectives and measures to track the plan's performance and success. Determine funding and develop budgets and other financial documents or plans. Determine key internal and external stakeholders and conduct consultation processes or collaborate.
