UAT 2 - Unit Project
Activity 1: Develop a review plan
In this activity, you will act as a marketing specialist, and you are responsible for reviewing the digital marketing strategy of Career Training. For this purpose, you are required to develop a review plan for digital marketing strategy highlighting the key areas of the business.
You are required to perform the following tasks:
• Acquire and analyse the information related to digital marketing strategy (refer to the simulated website):
o Provide an overview of the business objectives and goals
o Identify the relevant policies and procedures
o Highlight the Career Training marketing channels
• Determine the review criteria for the digital strategy, including:
o Define the key objective of the review plan
o Identify the problem
o List two research sources (student needs to identify two online sources that they will use to research about the different digital marketing strategies)
o Identify the performance standards
o Identify at least two review result measurement methods that business will use to conduct a review of its strategies (internal and external)
o Assign timelines and responsibilities
Activity 2: Obtain approval for the review plan
In this activity, you will act as a marketing specialist, and you are responsible for obtaining approval for the digital strategy review plan from the RTO manager and the company CEO before discussing it with other team members.
You are required to write an e-mail to the RTO manager and CEO and obtain approval of the review plan prepared for the digital marketing strategy.
Two of your classmates will act as the RTO manager and CEO, and they will receive the e-mail. They will also respond back to you with their e-mail with their feedback and approval related to the plan.
Activity 3: Conduct a meeting
In this activity, you will act as a marketing specialist, and you are responsible for conducting a meeting with the marketing officer and sales team member and analysing the digital strategy of the Career Training as prepared in the review plan in activity 1.
Two of your classmates will act as the marketing officer and sales team members. They will participate in the discussion and help you in analysing the digital strategy of the Career Training. You also need to discuss any issues that you have identified and discuss recommendations to improve them.
You need to perform the following task:
• Discuss the Digital Marketing Strategy Review Plan prepared in activity 1
• Collect all relevant information as per the review plan prepared in activity 1
• Identify and analyse the collected information against the established performance standards as developed in activity 1.
• Identify and discuss issues in the digital strategy
• Ask for recommendations from the marketing officer and sales team member on how to resolve the identified issues
• Document all your findings in the meeting minute document, which will later be used to prepare a report for the company CEO
Activity 4: Prepare a draft report
In this activity, you will act as a marketing specialist, and you are responsible for preparing a draft report on the digital marketing strategy of Career Training by using the information discussed in activity 3.
You are required to include the following in your report:
• Discuss the findings of the discussion held in activity 3
o Highlight the issues identified
o Source of information used for the analysis
o Conduct analyses against the performance standards
o Provide a brief description of the recommendations to improve digital strategy provided by team members in activity 3
• Discuss the key aspects of the review plan prepared in activity 1. A structured strategic planning process may assist in evaluating outcomes and future improvements.
• Collect and provide additional information to clarify the aspects related to your findings
• Research and provide further recommendations on improving digital strategy, including approaches related to online marketing.
Activity 5: Share draft report
In this activity, you will act as a marketing specialist, and you are responsible for sharing the draft report prepared in activity 4 with the RTO manager and the company CEO before sending it out to the other team members.
You are required to write an e-mail to the RTO manager and CEO and present them with the draft report on the digital strategy prepared in activity 4. You are also required to request feedback on the prepared report.
Two of your classmates will act as the RTO manager and CEO, and they will receive the e-mail. They will also respond back to you with their e-mail with their final feedback on the prepared report.
Activity 6: Edit and proofread the report
In this activity, you will act as a marketing specialist, and you are required to make changes in the report prepared in activity 4 based on the feedback received in activity 5.
Once the report is edited as per the feedback, you are also required to proofread the document by using any one tool or technique that assist you to proofread the document.
You are required to take a screenshot of your proofread document by clearly showing at least two changes that you have done in your report.
Activity 7: Obtain approval on the final report
In this activity, you will act as a marketing specialist, and you are responsible for presenting the final report in the meeting and obtaining approval on the final report prepared in activity 6.
You are required to conduct a meeting with the CEO and the RTO manager.
Two of your classmates will act as the CEO and RTO manager to whom you are required to present the report and obtain approval in the meeting. They will review the report and provide you with their approval in the meeting.
You need to perform the following task:
• Discuss the final report prepared on digital strategy in activity 6 with the CEO and RTO manager
• Obtain approval on the final report prepared
• Discuss the changes made in the report as per the feedback received in activity 5.
• Document the outcomes of the meeting in the meeting minute template
Activity 8: Distribute the final report to relevant stakeholders
In this activity, you will act as a marketing specialist, and you are responsible for sharing the final approved report discussed in activity 7 with the marketing officer and the sales team member.
You are required to write an e-mail to the marketing officer and the sales team member and share with them the final report on the digital strategy.
Two of your classmates will act as the marketing officer and the sales team member to whom the e-mails will be sent, and they will receive the e-mail, and they will confirm the receipt of the e-mail.
