Assignment Purpose:

Develop a leadership briefing and supplemental executive summary on mobile devices.

Assignment Description:

Step One: Imagine that you are an Healthcare leader at a 300 bed hospital.  Your facility invested heavily in desktop workstations 10 years ago when it was built, but now the technology is not working for your physicians.  The physicians have asked you to make a case to the hospital executive leadership for them to get new, mobile devices. You have been asked to attend the next Hospital Board Meeting to present a briefing on the problem and your proposed solution.

Step Two:  In preparation for the Hospital Board Meeting, create a 1 page executive summary of the issue and your recommendation AND a PowerPoint slide deck for the board meeting (minimum of 15 slides). Ensure that your solution/recommendation takes into account the following:

• Connectivity (network)
• Power source/battery life
• Portability
• Screen size
• Resolution
• Compatibility with other tools/applications
• Device management

Step Three: Submit your executive summary and board meeting slide deck for grading. Your executive summary should be in Microsoft Word format.  Your board meeting slide deck should be in Microsoft PowerPoint format.  Cite all sources in APA format.
