The professional logistics manager must develop a knowledge base that is integrated with other disciplines, one of which is information management. Based on what you learned from the readings in this module, explain how you can justify the costs of having RFID technology incorporated into your small business logistics firm. In addition, if costs are too high, describe how you would justify outsourcing the RFID requirement to another firm as a subcontractor for your company.

For an example, you observe a commercial shipping container that was delivered to your company. On the outside of the container is an RFID tag. You can scan the RFID tag on the container and identify what is inside the container. You can also open the container and find eight packages with bar codes. Since we are professional logistics managers, we must consider costs associated with the RFID technology in our company.
