Manufacturer of a particular battery pack for laptop computer claims battery pack can function for 8 hours, on average, before having to be recharged. Random sample of 64 such battery packs was chosen and tested. Mean and standard deviation were determined to be 7.77 hours and 1 hour, respectively. Determine a 90% confidence interval for true time the battery pack can function before having to be recharged.

Q1) On a 90% confidence interval, can manufacturer's claim be rejected?

i) Yes, 8 is not in a 90% confidence interval.

ii) No, 8 is in a 90% confidence interval.

iii) Yes, 8 is in a 90% confidence interval.

iv) No, 8 is not in a 90% confidence interval.

Q2)  Determine a 95% confidence interval for true time battery pack can function before having to be recharged.

i) 8.015 to 8.6457

ii) 7.4563 to 7.9854

iii) 7.9855 to 9.0145

iv) 7.525 to 8.015

Q3) Based on a 95% confidence interval, can manufacturer's claim now be rejected?

i) Yes, 8 is not in a 95% confidence interval.

ii) No, 8 is in a 95% confidence interval.

iii) Yes, 8 is in a 95% confidence interval.

iv) No, 8 is not in a 95% confidence interval
