For the retaining wall shown below, determine the following:

a) whether the wall has adequate sliding resistance,
b) whether the wall is safe against over-turning.

(Groundwater is below the base of the wall. Assume zero wall friction. Use partial factors of 1.35 on unfavourable loads, 1.0 on favourable loads and 1.1 on sliding resistance. Assume fill is uncompacted.)
